Caldonia Spirits, the maker of Barr Hill, is located in Montpelier, Vermont. They have been working diligently since the beginning of the pandemic to make hand sanitizer for healthcare professionals such as first responders and nurses across the state of Vermont and beyond. In early April they were able to ship more than 1,200 gallons of hand sanitizer for statewide distribution to all of Vermont's hospitals. This was a challenging goal given the complexities and uncertainties of supply chains during the pandemic.
Caldonia Spirits follows WHO guidelines when making hand sanitizer. The alcohol ingredient comes from a variety of sources, including distilled beer and kombucha from Vermont that would have been wasted during the restaurant closures.
Although Caldonia's priority will continue to be supplying medical professionals with hand sanitizer, they have formed a partnership with Sportstop.com in New Hampshire for distribution of this much needed hand sanitizer to the public. With Caldonia Spirits production capacity and Sportstop.com's fast shipping ability these two small businesses are coming together to get this sanitizer to you!
Thank you for supporting small businesses! Our family run small businesses are doing this to keep our staff employed and the lights on while filling a great need. We are all in this together!
